Forks Twilight Tour: Bella Italia Restaurant

By afterthebite · December 7, 2008 · 12 Comments · 25,682 Views ·

Address: 118 E 1st St, Port Angeles, WA 98362 (click here for map)

This Italian restaurant in Port Angeles, Washington has a menu that features specialty pizzas and seafood. It appears in the first novel in the series, Twilight, as "La Bella Italia." In the book, Bella is saved by Edward from some local muggers (or maybe worse!) after she goes astray in her search for a local bookstore. After the rescue, Edward tells Bella's friends that he'll drive her back to Forks, and they decided to get some dinner at Bella Italia. It's Edward and Bella's first date.

Stephenie Meyer herself, the author of Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, recently visited the restaurant, which has added the item that Bella ordered for dinner in the book (mushroom ravioli) to the menu.

Well no duh.
It doesn't look like the bella italia in the movie because the movie was shot in Oregon and in the book it's not really described the same way because Stephenie Meyerdidn't visit Port Angeles until after she wrote Twilight..

Looks same on the inside, different scene from the outside. That's what director do...splice film together to make the film appear like they want, rather than how things are.

I've had absolutely the worse experience here! I wouldn't waste my money or time on them. I wrote a long, thorough review of my experience on my blog:

http://closetoftreasures.blogspot.com/2010/02/review-bella-i talia-in-port-angeles-wa.html

I'm making sure everyone hears of my experience and how the customer service was horrible and management didn't do anything!

Okay,I know that this is two years behind the curve but it must be said in case any fans hap along this site. I live in Washington state...Kitsap County which is the county that Charlie refers to in Twilight... Some of each of the movies were filmed in Oregon, Washington, AND mostly Vancouver, British Columbia Canada...among other places. In fact, it wasn't filmed in Forks at all and just a small bit of it was filmed in LaPush about 15 mile southwest of Forks...the ONLY thing that was remotely familiar in the movie was the High School's Trojan sign...and even the high school in Forks was not used. It's fairly old compared to the high school set used in Vancouver BC.

Its cool to see all of the town Forks....even though its not like in the movie...imagining all the place that Bella and Edward went, it feels like all of the characters, are REAL! Forks is an amazing place....I'll go there sometime! First stop confirmed to me : The Cullen's house! Its very cool! BTW, don't post bad comments people! The townfolks did their best to make it real! To me, it is real! Thanks guys!
