Forks Twilight Tour: Bella Italia Restaurant

By afterthebite · December 7, 2008 · 12 Comments · 25,640 Views ·

Address: 118 E 1st St, Port Angeles, WA 98362 (click here for map)

This Italian restaurant in Port Angeles, Washington has a menu that features specialty pizzas and seafood. It appears in the first novel in the series, Twilight, as "La Bella Italia." In the book, Bella is saved by Edward from some local muggers (or maybe worse!) after she goes astray in her search for a local bookstore. After the rescue, Edward tells Bella's friends that he'll drive her back to Forks, and they decided to get some dinner at Bella Italia. It's Edward and Bella's first date.

Stephenie Meyer herself, the author of Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, recently visited the restaurant, which has added the item that Bella ordered for dinner in the book (mushroom ravioli) to the menu.

Twilight Book Review: Twilight "gleaming" for dads

By afterthebite · December 7, 2008 · 0 Comments · 61 Views ·

I enjoyed this review by Dave Richards, who says Twilight by Stephenie Meyer has been good for him and his daughter:

"Twilight" is your basic star-crossed love story in the tradition of "Romeo & Juliet." How hard it is to be so in love but know you should not, cannot, must not consummate it. In an age when teens are inundated with crass songs and movies that push sex, "Twilight" encourages restraint while acknowledging how difficult that can be. It's one reason parents have embraced it.

We couldn't agree more! Read the full review here.
