By afterthebite · June 14, 2010 · 0 Comments · ·

It's been announced that Breaking Dawn will not just be one movie, but will be broken into two!

Summit Entertainment officially announced its decision to split the final "Twilight" adaptation, "Breaking Dawn," into two separate movies, says the Hollywood Reporter. The move makes sense for anyone familiar with the novels, since "Breaking Dawn" the book is somewhere in the neighborhood of 730 pages long.

Robert's Eyes Bother Him as Edward

By afterthebite · January 2, 2009 · 0 Comments · ·

Wenn.com is reporting that Robert Pattinson didn't enjoy wearing the colored contact lenses required by his part as Edward Cullen in the movie Twilight.

"Wearing coloured contact lenses... It was like I constantly had sand in my eyes. I was wearing them for three months constantly and my eyes never ever accepted them! It took me 20 minutes per eye every single day and I ended up having to literally fold it into my eyeball."

Robert & Kristen Aren't Happy

By afterthebite · December 9, 2008 · 0 Comments · ·

Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times says that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are very upset that Catherine Hardwicke will not be the director of the next installment in the Twilight book-to-movies project.

The genesis of the actors' anger comes from a feeling the film studio -- Summit Entertainment -- is far too eager to rush out the second ''Twilight'' flick, without prepping for it properly, as Stewart and Pattinson believed Hardwicke would do.

Robert Pattinson named to Forbes Breakout Stars List for 2008

By afterthebite · December 8, 2008 · 0 Comments · ·

Robert Pattinson has been named by Forbes magazine as number five on their list of "breakout stars" for 2008.

Once little known for his supporting role as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter series, Pattinson is now drawing big crowds--and drooling ladies--of his own. In recent weeks, he's graced a slew of magazine covers and scored dozens of interviews for his starring role as Edward Cullen, the vampire in the silver screen's heavily hyped Twilight adaptation. Still more proof of his fan interest: The flick's opening weekend delivered a jaw-dropping $70 million at the U.S. box office.

Big Pay Raise Coming for Kristen and Robert

By afterthebite · November 24, 2008 · 0 Comments · ·

The Chicago Sun-Times points out the obvious today. With the announcement that New Moon will be coming to theaters sometime in the future, and Eclipse likely right around the corner (they'll probably film those two at the same time), Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson should be expecting pretty big pay raises to go along with the new movies.

There's one rule in Hollywood that's rarely broken: Pull in big bucks at the box office and a sequel -- or three -- is virtually guaranteed. Of course the ''Twilight'' film's $70 million-plus bonanza this weekend was largely due to a built-in fan base -- thanks to the enormous success of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novels.

So, not only have deals been cut for a not-unexpected second ''Twilight'' film (based on Meyer's New Moon book), but I've learned a third film is also virtually a done deal, based on Meyer's Eclipse novel -- though that won't be confirmed for some time.

Also, sources say stars Robert Pattinson, 22, and Kristin Stewart, 18, will get huge salary boosts from the $2 million each earned for "Twilight" -- reportedly $10 million more, per film, plus a nice percentage of the future movies' box-office take.
